Job Title
Logistics Coordinator
The Role
Marine Advanced Robotics is looking to fill the full-time, in-office position of a Logistics Coordinator at our Richmond, CA facility. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organization-focused self-starter with an interest in innovation and technology.
Responsibilities
Supply chain management for all vendors, stay up to date on latest delivery schedules, pricing, and lead times on all parts
Negotiate vendor contracts to reduce costs and streamline supply
Coordinate with engineering team and operations manager to:
Review and approve purchasing requests
Ensure timely delivery of parts to fit the build schedule
Management of domestic and international shipments, including selection of carriers, negotiation of contracts with carriers, customs requirements, and associated paperwork
Processing and shipment of batteries
Management of shipments to and from three domestic facilities (east coast, west coast, and gulf coast)
Coordination with manufacturing facility at NJ facility
Process inbound and outgoing shipments, organize appropriate storage
Inspection and quality control of inbound shipments
Update purchasing software, reconcile credit card charges, collect receipts, and coordinate with accounts payable on orders and invoices
Respond to any shipping related issues, including discrepancies, returns, and billing errors
Manage inventory and keep detailed records
Manage travel arrangements and shipping requirements for ASV Technicians
Ensure all operations adhere to laws, regulations, and ISO requirements
Required Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or relevant field
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, familiarity with manufacturing environments preferred
Knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and inventory management software
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good working knowledge of the industrial goods industry
Desired Qualifications
Certification for battery shipments
Database or inventory management system experience
